We are accepting applications for our MA program for the 2021-2022 academic year, with a deadline of February 15, 2021. We will be awarding Graduate Teaching and Research Assistantships (tuition waivers, stipend) to highly qualified students.
The virtual open house, hosted via WebEx, is a chance to learn more about our program and our faculty, discover ongoing research opportunities, and envision a career in anthropology.

To apply to the MA Program in Applied Anthropology at MSU, you apply through the graduate school at MSU (https://www.grad.msstate.edu/students/admissions). But there is additional material to complete for our specific program to enable you to be considered for funded TA and RA positions within AMEC: See “Applications: For Assistantships.” https://www.amec.msstate.edu/prospective-students/how-to-apply. You have to fill out one of these applications to be considered for a TA or RA position in our department.
Please also note that our deadlines are earlier than the general ones that the graduate school has (and we will not consider applications submitted after those dates for each semester). The application deadline for admission in Fall 2021 is February 15th.
